March 26, 2010 - PRLog -- PIONEERTOWN, CA – The Evangenitals, a Los Angeles based Alternative-Country/Americana-infused septet founded by playwright/director Juli Crockett and opera/jazz singer Lisa Dee, is taking their rowdy show on the road to Pioneertown, CA to play at the legendary Pappy & Harriet’s on Friday April 16th 2010.  The band features Henry Bermudez on lead guitar, fiddler Andrea Baker, Ari DeSano on accordion, drummer Kristy McInnis, and Laurie Es on the bass. The Evangenitals brand of music has been described as “hillbilly jazz” and “cosmic square-dance” and their live show was declared “one of the best parties you can go to” by Front Porch Musings.

This will be the Evangenitals first time performing at the well-known roadhouse, and they are ecstatic to have the whole night to themselves. “We’re dividing the night into 2 giant sets, the first featuring our “Hippie” songs and then the barn-burning “Hillbilly” set.” says lead singer Juli Crockett.  “We tested this format (the brainchild of bassist Laurie Es, who also designs the band’s original posters) at one of our favorite local pirate-themed dive bars, The Buccaneer in Sierra Madre. The response was so great we decided to do it again for Pappy & Harriets.”

PAPPY & HARRIET’S is located at 53688 Pioneertown Road Pioneertown, CA 92268.
