DayJams Announces the Ultimate Rock Guitar Seminar

March 24, 2010 - PRLog -- Last Week, DayJams – the younger brother of the National Guitar Workshop, announced the newest addition to its ever-growing curriculum, The Ultimate Rock Guitar Seminar. The Ultimate Rock Guitar Seminar is designed to help intermediate to advanced guitarists expand their rock guitar skills. The seminar is a one-week long course spanning Monday through Friday, 9am to 5pm.

The Ultimate Rock Guitar Seminar is available at all nineteen DayJams locations. Because the course is highly-intensive and hands on, enrollment is limited to just ten students per week. According to DayJams, the class is open to intermediate to advanced students who are 14 to 17 years of age.

The course is described on DayJam’s Website [dayjams.com] as being a complete “tour de force of rock guitar technique, from its classic roots through ‘80s metal, all the way to contemporary shred.”  A variety of topics and techniques will be taught, including but not limited to advanced sweep-picking, complete harmonics, arpeggios, advanced chording, modes, exotic scales, killer tone, multi-finger tapping, and advanced improvisation.

Additionally, the Ultimate Rock Guitar Seminar is offering students who attend the course a $50.00 coupon; good for any National Guitar Workshop course in the 2010 or 2011 season.

In addition to this entirely new course, DayJams is also introducing an open house night. Parents of the campers may come see what it is their children will be learning and doing at the camp locations. As of right now, six of the nineteen DayJams locations are scheduled to conduct open houses, beginning April 10th, 2010. A DayJams staffer says “an open house not only gives parents and new campers a chance to learn about the program; but also provides former and ongoing students a chance to re-connect and jam with their old camp-mates.”
