On Wednesday, March 17, 2010, art licensing industry trail-blazer, Mary Engelbreit, spent an hour sharing her expertise with artists interested in learning more about how to license their art.  A record-breaking 186 people listened live and more than 700 more have downloaded the free mp3 replay to date.

Mary Engelbreit’s live interview was part of the Art Licensing Info Monthly Ask Call Series.  The feedback was fabulous – artists were thrilled to learn that Mary is “one of them” – drawing into the late night hours in her home studio, admitting to mistakes along the way and that she is inspired by deadlines.

"I'm just grateful to be able to make a living doing this." – Mary Engelbreit

Mary Engelbreit is known throughout the world for her distinctive illustration style, imbued with spirited wit and nostalgic warmth. The unmatched following for her work has grown with a range of licensed products that stretches from calendars, to best-selling children’s books, millions of greeting cards sold each year, as well as gifts, crafts & home décor.

Starting in 1977, Mary Engelbreit licensed her art for a greeting card line and today boasts a list that’s grown to include nearly 6,500 products in all, with more than $1 billion in lifetime retail sales.

The free calls, offered through ArtLicensingInfo.com have been a great vehicle for artists to learn from experts in the art licensing industry and discover that they too, face the same challenges artists starting out face.  The calls create both a sense of hope and community for artists interested in licensing.
