Quiz Media supports as Fashion unites two Fixers in a catwalk event

March 22, 2010 - PRLog -- The two young women have come together to put on the Four Seasons Couture fashion show in Birmingham that addresses both their Fixes.  Soroya is organising young women, many with criminal records and who have lost their way, to model the clothes and help out backstage for the fashion show.  Meanwhile Nikisha is giving the best upcoming fashion designers from the Midlands the chance to showcase their designs on the catwalk.

Through her work as an artist, Nikisha has met many young fashion designers in the West Midlands and been struck by their innovative and exciting designs.  “I felt the designers had no platform to display their work because everyone goes to London for fashion and not Birmingham”, she explains, “So I want to give local fashion designers that platform to show their work.”

With the support of Quiz Media events management. Soroya works with young women who have had a bad start in life. Some of them have criminal records and many of them are at risk of exclusion from society.  As a Fixer, Soroya wants to work with these women to put together the Four Seasons Couture fashion show.  As Soraya explains, “The girls working on the project have experienced jail, prostitution and eating disorders.  Some are in or have gone through the care system, some are young mothers and some can't find a job.  I wanted to create an opportunity to build the girls' confidence and give them a platform to tell their story to deter other people in similar situations and to let people know that no matter how colourful someone’s past is, they can get their life back on track – there's always a light at the end of the tunnel.”

The Four Seasons Couture fashion show will take place on Friday 23rd April 2010 at The Public in West Bromwich.  A percentage of the proceeds will be contributed towards the UNICEF Haiti Earthquake Children Appeal.  For more information on the event and to buy tickets visit the website
