By: Congregration Neve Shalom “I am very happy that I am able to work this benefit into my calendar, and I am looking forward to working with the other performers,” Ms. Horowitz adds, “A benefit revue featuring the Jewish Contribution to the American Musical from Berlin to Bernstein and beyond is a wonderful idea with a very broad appeal. The audience will have a great time hearing songs they know.” The Jewish contribution to the musical goes well beyond Jewish themes. “They Changed Broadway” will feature hand-picked songs from Broadway’s iconic musicals woven into a two-hour, one-night program featuring well-known performers. “We’re thrilled to have someone of Leah Horowitz’s talent agree to perform in ‘They Changed Broadway’,” The revue offers something of unique value to an audience that reaches beyond Neve Shalom’s 500-family membership and expands its fund-raising activities that benefit Youth and Elderly, Meals on Wheels, Save the World Committee, and the Edison-Metuchen- “They Changed Broadway” will be on stage in Metuchen, New Jersey June 13th, 2010 at the Forum Theatre.
