Tournament Room for VA State Foosball Championships
Staunton, VA---July 23rd , 24th and 25th are the dates set for the 27th Annual Virginia State Foosball Championships in conjunction with 9th Annual Thunder in the Mountains Foosball Spectacular, to be held at Byers Street Bistro located at 18 Byers Street in Staunton, Virginia. A portion of the tournament proceeds will go to support Augusta Health, Hospice of the Shenandoah and their continuing community efforts and recognition of Hospice care whether it be an individual’s emotional, social, and spiritual as well as physical needs.

Foosball Tour stops back to the Staunton area,” said Cribbs Inc. president Alan Cribbs. “Since 2004 we have been fortunate enough to raise over $10,300.00 for the local Hospice of the Shenandoah with all of these funds going toward the Hospice Shenandoah House, which open in the fall of 2007. Earlier this year, we surpassed $140,000.00 in contribution raised for all our charitable events through Bonzini U.S.A. Foosball Tour. We have a dedicated player base that is working hard to make this a premier event on the 2010 Bonzini U.S.A. Foosball Tour.”

Who would have thought Foosball and Hospice would go together?”

Bonzini™ U.S.A. Foosball Tour events are gaining national recognition for their efforts in creating a tournament atmosphere that is professionally operated to entertain players and spectators alike. The tournament room will be located in Byers Street Bistro and will offer maximum viewing advantages to all spectators. Players from several states and as far as Canada travel to participate in this event. This event receives national attention, such as the ESPN exposure in 2005.
“ We have produced foosball events before at Byers Street Bistro with great success,” said Alan. “With 70% of the field expected to be made up of Virginians, we are all well aware of the valuable service Hospice of the Shenandoah provides to the community and I anticipate a great tournament event.”

A check presentation to Hospice of Shenandoah will take place at 12:00pm on Saturday, July 24th and all sponsors are encouraged to attend. The tournament event will host a snack buffet at 4:00pm on Saturday, July 24th for all of the players and sponsors.
