Watch home security cameras from your iPhone

   First, our H.264 standalone DVRs are a popular choice for home security camera systems.  These self-contained DVRs record on motion detection from your indoor or outdoor home security cameras onto an internal hard drive, and can plug directly into your TV or an LCD monitor to view the live cameras or play back pre-recorded footage.  These DVRs are about the size of a VCR and can be placed in an office or even an entertainment center.  The Standalone DVR can be connected directly to your home network with a standard network cable, that will allow you to view full-resolution live video on your laptop or PC on the network, as well as the ability to connect over the internet.  In addition, these standalone DVRs have a built-in web page that was designed specifically for PDA phones and iPhones.  This web page can show up to 4 cameras at a time, and loads a JPG snapshot of what is happening on those cameras, then can refresh the page automatically up to 1 time per second.

   Our more advanced Alnet PC-Based systems have a DVR Card and software that will install into your PC to record from your home security cameras onto the hard drive of your PC.  These PC-Based Alnet systems are more advanced than the more basic standalone DVRs, providing improved resolution of recording, improved playback and enhanced remote viewing features.  This system also provides enhanced remote viewing from your iPhone, providing live streaming video from up to 16 cameras at a time, control of PTZ (Pan/Tilt/Zoom) cameras, control of inputs and outputs, playback of video and even saving snapshots from your cameras right on your iPhone.
