In response to feedback from major video retailers, Producers Releasing Organization, the film and video distribution division of Empire Film Group, Inc. (Pink Sheets:EFGU) (www.empirefilmgroup.com), announced today five titles that will debut on the Blu-ray video format at only $14.95 suggested retail. This low-priced strategy marks a major shift in consumer pricing for new release movies on Blu-ray, which typically carry list pricing of $29.95 or more.

“Due to recent increase in consumer demand we feel that a $14.95 list price will have consumers choosing Blu-ray over DVD,” said Dean Bornstein, C.E.O. of Empire Film Group. ”In the last year consumers have seen the premier quality of the Blu-ray technology. Blu-ray is a DVD playback format, and it reproduces twice as many lines on a television screen as a standard definition DVD.  We are now offering the consumer the chance to purchase Blu-ray at the same price as DVDs,” he continued.

The initial new release titles covered under the $14.95 Blu-ray pricing strategy include:

“War Eagle, Arkansas” – An acclaimed family drama with an April 6 street date.

“2 Dudes And A Dream” – A wacky comedy with a March 9 street date;

“Chelsea On The Rocks” – An Abel Ferrara documentary with a May 4 street date;

“Bobby Dogs” – An award winning, inspirational film with a May 4 street date.

The initial catalog title also to be issued on Blu-ray at $14.95 is “Savage Land” – A western-themed, family favorite to debut on Blu-ray June 1.

Key retail accounts supporting the Blu-ray format include WalMart, Target, Best Buy, Kmart, SAMS, Costco, Blockbuster, Movie Gallery, Hollywood Video, Barnes & Noble, Borders, Hastings and many more, collectively representing over 60,000 storefronts.

In addition to current Blu-ray releases, Producers Releasing Organization will be distributing author Barr McClellan’s new book “Made In The U.S.A.” in the second quarter of 2010.

Empire Film Group and Hannover House have recently entered into a joint venture agreement to co-distribute Theatrical, Television, DVD and Book titles in North America. These five Blu-ray releases and Book will be distributed through this joint venture.
