Porsche Panamera Among Best Selling Models at Virginia Porsche Dealer

Feb. 24, 2010 - PRLog -- Virginia Porsche dealer, Checkered Flag Porsche, is now accepting names for the Porsche Panamera Gran Turismo waiting list.  The luxury sedan which was first introduced in October of 2009 and has quickly made its way to the top of Porsche’s best selling list.

The new Panamera is the first all-new Porsche in seven years and represents the renowned German sports car company’s first four-door luxury sedan in its 61 year history.  The Panamera is now the fourth model line for Porsche and one of the most highly anticipated vehicles since the company announced it would build it more than four years ago.

According to Ed Klima of Checkered Flag Porsche, the Panamera is unlike anything else on the road.  “With the introduction of the Panamera, Porsche has fundamentally created a new vehicle concept; a true sports car with four-doors, four seats, eight cylinders, seven gears and a whole host of new technical and design features.”

The new Panamera looks like a sports car with the low, aggressive silhouette of a coupe, while still providing four full size seats and very generous passenger and luggage space.  The luxury Panamera offers as much brains as it does beauty.  For example, the 400-horsepower V8 engine offers an EPA estimated 16 mpg city and 24 mpg highway, while the 500 horsepower V8 twin turbo engine offers 15 mpg city and 23 mpg highway.  Both of these ratings are best-in-class.

For Virginia shoppers who feel the need for speed, the Panamera will not disappoint.  The 500-horsepower Panamera Turbo accelerates to 60 mph in just 4 seconds with a top test track speed of 188 mph.
