PRLog -- Southern Hemisphere Shades recently completed various shade projects for the Pasadena Unified School District in southern California. Shade structures were installed at three sites during the past couple of weeks including five structures at Altadena Elementary School. Pasadena USD chose Southern Hemisphere Shades to provide these structures based on the quality of their products, installation effectiveness and affordability. The unique shade structures create a safe atmosphere by blocking harmful UV rays while cooling the temperature up to 20 degrees. According to the Skin Cancer Foundation, one in five Americans will develop skin cancer. Shade structures help provide essential UV protection for children during their lunch breaks and recess periods. These unique fabric structures will block up to 98% of the suns harmful UV rays while preventing excess sun exposure. In addition to Altadena, Southern Hemisphere Shades installed fabric structures at Franklin and Norma Coombs Elementary schools. These schools received shade structures over playground equipment and a recreational area.
