Job Seekers will 'Speed Date' with hiring companies next week
HOLLYWOOD, FL – Professionals, both unemployed and looking to hire, in South Florida will have an opportunity to mix and mingle at the area’s first “Speed Dating for Jobs” pink-slip party of the New Year on Thursday February 18th inside 88’s Dueling Pianos at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino.
The free event is being organized by A Plus Professional Resumes and JobsDirectUSA to help stimulate hiring in the area by connecting local job seeking professionals with hiring companies.
What originally started on Wall Street after the stock market collapse, the job networking ‘party’, which Carlos Gil of JobsDirectUSA calls “Speed Dating for Jobs”, unites educated, mid-level job seekers looking for white collar jobs with recruiters of local hiring companies – in a bar or upscale lounge.

A Plus Professional Resumes and JobsDirectUSA will also be teaming up with the Hollywood Jaycee’s to host two free career workshops on February 16th at 8 am and another at 3 pm in Hollywood. The two-hour long workshops will provide job seekers with tips and advice on resume preparation, interview skills, training on social media and also teach seekers how to effectively network.
