Oklahoma Technical College Sponsors Darryl Starbird Show

Oklahoma Technical College (OTC) is the Official Presenting Sponsor of the 46th Annual Darryl Starbird Hall of Fame National Championship Exotic Car Show for the second consecutive year.

Feb. 8, 2010 - PRLog -- Oklahoma Technical College (OTC) is the Official Presenting Sponsor of the 46th Annual Darryl Starbird Hall of Fame National Championship Exotic Car Show for the second consecutive year. The show will be held February 19-21st 2010 at the QuikTrip Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Dayrl Starbird,a prolific designer and builder of custom cars, first started his legacy in 1954 when the art of customizing was still brand new. After winning numerous awards in competitive Rod and Custom Shows, Darryl retired from competition and began showing professionally as a feature paid attraction.

The Tulsa Starbird Show has earned the title of being the Largest Indoor Car Show which currently accepts 1,000 show entries with a $20,000 cash award. “We are very pleased to be offered this sponsorship and are looking forward to the opportunity to show what our automotive technology and welding students have been working on since opening in March of 2009,” said Ms. Knox, CEO of Oklahoma Technical College.

Those planning to attend the show may purchase tickets at any O’Reilly Auto Parts outlet. The show will be held from noon to 11pm on Friday, 10am to 11pm on Saturday, and 10am to 6pm on Sunday. The show will feature California’s newest $150,00.00 ’37 Packard Show Rod by Bones, “Get Shorty” high-tech classic Custom Trucks Magazine Project Truck by Dakota Wentz of Star Kustom Shop, as well as Monogram Models’ most famous model car kits “Predicta,” “Lil Coffin,” and “Big T” for the first time together on display in full size. The show will also feature live entertainment such as monster truck battles, free-style FMX motorcycle performances.
