Our small groups are based on a cognitive behavior therapy and dialectical behavior therapy model. The program is based on the following concepts:
Mindfulness--
Interpersonal Effectiveness--
Emotional Regulation--learning to identify and label emotions, identifying obstacles to changing emotions, increasing mindfulness to current emotions, increasing positive emotional events.
Distress Tolerance--learning to accept both oneself and the current situation without judgment. Accepting life as it is in the moment. Learn 4 sets of crisis survival strategies.
