PRLog (Press Release) - Jan 08, 2010 -
The start of the NFL Playoffs has always marked the end of the fantasy football season which has left millions of fantasy footballers with an empty feeling as they've watched the playoffs without a rooting interest in individual player performances.

No competition, nothing on the line, no smack talk.  No fun.

Fear not fantasy footballers.  Help has arrived to cure your fantasy football withdrawal.  A new fantasy sports sites has emerged recently that offers a whole new way to play not just fantasy football, but all fantasy sports.

This site offers "micro" games which only last a single day or the length of the football weekend.  Participants benefit from these type of contests because there is no season-long commitment and the fact that they get to select new teams each and every week.

Unlike season long fantasy leagues where league fees are paid at the beginning of the season and not paid out to the winners at the end of the season, micro games pay out at the end of each contest.  "We give people a chance to play today, win today and get paid today," said Neil Odze, co-founder of 365 Fantasy Sports (http://www.365FantasySports.com.)  "Skilled fantasy players are able to turn their hobby into a fun profit center since they get to earn money every week of the football season, not just at the end of the season."

Traditional fantasy leagues come to a close by the end regular season because so many of the players on participants' teams don't make the playoffs which causes major gaps in fantasy players' rosters.  The weekly contests remedy that situation as new rosters are drafted each week.

Odze explained, "We fill up the draft rounds just with the players playing in that weekend's games.  We even create contests within each football weekend.  For example, during the Wild Card weekend there are contests available utilizing just the players from the Saturday games, others which use just the Sunday games and others that utilize all of the games and players playing this weekend."

365FantasySports.com is offering three different contest varieties this weekend.  One that features a "points cap" (similar to a salary cap)  another that allows contestants to simply select players from each position and a third called the "All Pro Challenge".

According to Odze, "Our site prides itself a wide variety of contests in all major sports.  Not only are we running contests for the four major professional sports and NASCAR, but  we're also offering daily fantasy college football and basketball too."

Given the ease of use, the fact that people have the flexibility to enter as many or as few contests as they wish whenever they choose to do so and the "instant gratification" that daily fantasy sports provides it is only a matter of time before more and more people begin participating in daily contests along with their traditional, season-long leagues.
