Produced by The Center for Contemporary Dance and made possible by funding from United Arts of Central Florida and Target Stores, Colours of Courage "is an artistic documentation of African-American history," says Dario J. Moore, Artistic Director for Moore Dance Project.  Beginning in 17th-century Africa and moving forward in time through significant events, including the Atlantic slave-trade and the Civil Rights Movement, Colours of Courage "has been inspiring and educating audiences of all ages for the past four years," explains Craig W. Johnson, Executive Director for The Center.  Performances are followed by an open-forum discussion about the impact of African-American history on modern culture.  "Colours of Courage is a story about all of us," says Moore, "Above all else, the show is about the responsibility we share in creating the kind of world we'd like to see."
