As part of its first deal in Japan, Clikthrough introduces the internationalization of the Clikthrough Theater and its entire interactive video product line in 25 languages.

San Francisco, CA – December 1, 2009 -- Interactive video analytics and encoding company Clikthrough Inc. announced today that it inked a partnership with Avex Marketing Inc., Japan’s largest media and recording company. Clikthrough’s partnership with Avex Marketing — which produces, records and represents some of Japan’s biggest J-Pop stars — begins with the Clikthrough music video debut of Japan’s leading popular music voices.

First, major label “miracle hit maker” and singer-songwriter Misako Sakazume, known for her well-crafted pop songs and dynamic musicianship, debuts her single, “Kitto Daijyoubu.” The single is the theme song to the new Channel 8 TV drama “Real Clothes” and tells the story of a young sales assistant in a posh department store, struggling with fashion challenges, romance, and a new job. Misako’s music video features footage from the drama, and the Clikthrough encoded video will allow the audience to learn about the cast, the costumes worn by popular actresses in the drama, and purchase the fashion items directly from the music video.

In comments, Clikthrough CEO Abe McCallum underscored the significance of the step into the Japanese marketplace for his company, as well as exposure to a broader Asian audience. “Thanks to the work of Makiko Allum of IPSO Licensing, who helped put this deal together, we are excited to work with a company as prestigious as Avex in Japan. With this partnership, Clikthrough will now support Japanese, as well as 25 other foreign languages, and we plan to continue expanding. We’re building the ubiquitous platform to support interactive videos no matter what language you speak.”

The new iteration of Clikthrough’s Theater will now be the third-lightest and fastest video player on the market, behind the JW Player and Google’s YouTube Player. McCallum continued, “I tip my cap to our outstanding engineering team. After extensive optimization the sheer speed and small footprint of the Theater alone is a tremendous achievement; including all the features the other players consider as plug-ins or optional. They worked around the clock to get the Clikthrough Theater where it is today, and we are excited to share it with the world.”
