Christian Volker, who founded and built one of the world’s largest international real estate firms, believes global demand for Miami’s premium properties will continue to surge and is opening his firm’s first Miami office here this week to meet growing demand.
The mega-firm Engel & Volkers has in just over 20 years grown to include over 600 offices and over 3700 active agents, in a worldwide network that produces over $12 billion in annual sales.
The Miami headquarters is part of a South Florida chain franchised by long-time local real estate industry veteran Phillip Yaffa and international entrepreneur Jose Luis Bueno.
“Our office here officially opens this week,” says Yaffa, “but already we have a backlog of inquiries from seriously interested buyers from around the world.”
“Contrary to our local media view,” says Yaffa, “Miami represents a unique opportunity to the rest of the world. In addition to the wonderful year-round climate, the cosmopolitan culture and world-class attractions such as this week’s Art Basel, we have here a large inventory of luxury residences close to the ocean, combined with once-in-a-lifetime artificially low prices, incredibly low-cost financing, and a discounted dollar. Our luxury buyers from outside the USA know this well.”
Yaffa adds, “For our local neighbors here who want to sell their luxury homes, this becomes a unique advantage we call List Local, Sell Global. And it simply means that when you do business with us here, you are automatically marketing your home to our very active internal network of 3700 agents and their buyers on every continent, all at once.”
Volker is celebrating the Miami opening at a champagne reception on Thursday evening, December 3, at the new offices at 1200 Brickell Bay Drive, one block off Brickell Avenue in Downtown Miami.
