Dryer Vent Installation Tips from the Wizard of Chicago

The flexible foil type that looks like something out of a science fiction movie with robots and space beings is no longer your best choice.  This type once claimed to contain a fire safely; however, it has been discovered to be unsafe.  Mory explained, “The problem with the flexible foil or corrugated material is that it slows air flow and accumulates more lint.  This puts stress on your dryer, causing it to work harder, cost more to operate, and eventually break down or cause a fire.”
