Silly Bus Trades Free Shows for Facebook Fans

Nov. 4, 2009 - PRLog -- Richmond, VA — Non-profits and charities, listen up! Silly Bus, an educational media group that creates radio-friendly music for kids, wants to perform free for you in 2010. For every 200 new Facebook fans or email newsletter subscriptions Silly Bus gets through Dec. 31, 2009, they will perform a free show for a charitable organization.

Chief Bus Driver John Henneberger says Silly Bus borrowed the idea from a similar promotion benefitting an African charity. “We receive four to five calls each month from non-profits asking us to waive our fees and get involved with an incredibly worthy cause,” says Henneberger. He says the group regularly performs pro-bono, but admits putting this twist on things is a great way to introduce Silly Bus to more people.

Silly Bus will perform up to 10 Facebook Trade shows in 2010, with the offer available to non-profits and charities in Maryland, Virginia, and the District of Columbia. Adds Henneberger, “That said, we are open to suggestions about great events and organizations we can support, no matter where they’re located.”
