Developed in conjunction with NASA, Thermablok’s aerogel insulation material greatly decreases energy waste by reducing thermal bridging in walls. US Department of Energy and J&M Laboratory tests reveal that adding just one, ¼-inch (60mm) strip of Thermablok® aerogel on one edge of the metal studs in a wall before drywalling can increase the R-value by over 40%! NASA’s nanotechnology Aerogel is the highest insulating material in existence.
