Many companies have yet to realize the benefits of becoming a truly sustainable enterprise. Those that seek to address opportunities in sustainable business are facing numerous challenges. To help resolve these challenges, AltaTerra Research is offering a new online discussion series with sustainability expert Bob Willard, author of The Sustainability Advantage, The Next Sustainability Wave, and The Sustainability Champion’s Guidebook.
The series, “Conversations with Bob Willard: Making the Sustainable Business Case Grow,” starts Wednesday, November 4th with “Leading Sustainability Change--from the Center” at 9 a.m. Pacific / 12 noon Eastern. This first web conference will provide practical guidance for creating a culture of sustainability. Participants will learn a proven seven-step approach to sustainability change.
The series continues on Thursday, December 10th at 9 a.m. Pacific / 12 noon Eastern with “Making the Case for Sustainable Business: Smart Strategies Driving the Bottom Line.” This event will focus on the value and success companies can attain by integrating sustainability strategies with business strategies, as well as the risks of failing to become more environmentally and socially responsible. Participants will learn how to quantify seven bottom-line benefits of committing to sustainability strategies and behaviors.
“These are fundamental issues for many organizations that are just beginning in their sustainability efforts,” said Don Bray, President of AltaTerra Research. “People in organizations need to know how to create a culture of sustainability and how to get bottom-line benefits from sustainability initiatives.”
This series is intended for employees at any level, in any size company who are interested in sustainability. This includes senior managers who are committed to, or curious about, the opportunities that sustainability initiatives can offer, staff and management of non-profits working in partnership with corporations to improve environmental performance, and staff from public sector agencies working with corporations and/or pursuing entrepreneurial innovations to take more sustainable practices to scale.
Registration is now open to participate in one or both events. More information and registration are available at www.altaterra.net/
