A unique individual in her own right, Faith has never felt like she completely fit in with the other Pixies at Windhill Tree. For whatever reason, she’s always been drawn to life outside her secluded home - particularly the interesting ways and means of the human population that surrounds them - so she regularly sneaks off to observe them whenever she gets the chance; however, when Faith’s brother spills the beans to their father about her daily espionage, he promptly scolds Faith for potentially endangering the entire Pixie community and bans her from the upcoming lighting ceremony - which is only the biggest event of her young life.

Hurt and supremely disappointed, Faith hastily runs away - but her troubles only get worse when she’s spotted by some curious human children and is unable to escape before getting caught...with her life, her future, and the safety of the entire Pixie community at risk, will Faith be able to overcome the considerable challenges suddenly thrust upon her?

A Leap Of Faith is a touching, heart-warming read. Though author Sabine Goldman’s endearing tale is ostensibly geared toward the young adult crowd, it contains invaluable lessons regarding identity, forgiveness, and perseverance through adversity to which readers of all ages are sure to relate. Adding to the appeal of Goldman’s tale is her seamless, conversational writing style, providing for smooth dialogue and the natural flow of compelling action and suspense pertaining to Faith’s plight. Such a combination of complementary elements makes for quite the rewarding reading experience.

Coming in at just over 100 pages, A Leap Of Faith is an entertaining, enlightening addition to the world of Young Adult literature. A surprisingly uplifting literary treat.
