Crop & Land Pollution From Farm Pesticides Comminates Food Chain

Aerial crop spaying with pesticides can cause land pollution, and cause pesticides to enter the food chain contributing to asthma, allergies, and cancer. Natural pesticides and organic pesticides are being approved by the EPA.

According to the article, cancer research links pesticides to cancer and other serious diseases. “Farm Pesticides & Crop Pollution Concerns” quotes from a Des Moines Register article which states “Our government...allows 71 known carcinogenic pesticides to be sprayed on our food crops...” The article provides a link to this newspaper story.

Allergies, Learning Disorders & Asthma From the Pesticide Food Chain

Although a food chain pesticide danger exists, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) states that all pesticides must be approved by EPA according to current standards, according to the Suite 101 article. The Des Moines Register article is quoted as saying, “Asthma, allergies, learning disorders, and cancer [is] blamed on pesticides in the food chain.”

Organic Pesticides & Natural Pesticides

The article, “Farm Pesticides & Crop Pollution Concerns,” provides a link to an EPA article about how the type, amount, and the use of pesticides is determined. Also, the EPA, in this same article, claims to be approving more organic and natural pesticides.
