Oct. 12, 2009 - PRLog -- Buying property in Costa Rica is not only isolated to Canadians however we are seeing a large influx of buyers coming from the Great White North.

More and more Canadians are looking to invest in tropical countries like the Latin American country of Costa Rica. Why? Many reasons really.

Unlike Mexico, the Costa Rican process for buying property is the same for foreigners as it is for locals. Owning Costa Rica property is not only simple but it's also secure. Of course there are risks like anything, however minimizing this risk is possible by consulting with a professional agent with the experience and knowledge to protect and secure the clients best interests. All of our agents with Costa Rica Property have the knowledge to make the process a smooth one.

After polling many agencies throughout Costa Rica, asking them a rough estimation on the percentage of sales being Canadian citizens, the results clearly show a growing trend.  Canadians are increasingly more active in the Costa Rica real estate market every day.

Many Canadians who have moved to Costa Rica, seem to share a similar thought. That Costa Rica and Canada have many similarities including first and foremost, being a peaceful country. Costa RIca has not had a military since 1949 when the abolition of the military was introduced in Article 12 of the Costa Rican Constitution. Even the Costa Rican people themselves are similar in character to Canadians with their free spirit attitudes and outlook on life. The Costa Rica slogan is after all "pura vida" which means pure life in english.

The San Jose and Puntarenas provinces especially, resemble British Columbia with their mountainous terrain including the highest peak in all of Central America, Chirripo Mountain. Of course the climate here varies greatly from Canada but for that reason, many Canadians come to Costa Rica looking to escape the cold temperatures of back home to enjoy the humid tropical weather of Costa Rica.

In the Southern Zone of Costa Rica on the Pacific side, you will find a little village 30 minutes south of Dominical called Ojochal. This is home to an incredible amount of French Canadians. So much so that this pocket of Costa RIca has become famous in it's own right, throughout Eastern Canada. Costa Rica Property Site (http://www.costaricapropertysite.com) has a large selection of properties in the Ojochal area, so if you are interested in learning more about Ojochal then feel free to contact us and we'll gladly help you with whatever questions you may have.

Scattered throughout the mountains of Southern Costa Rica, are many Canadians who have decided that maybe six months of winter is a bit much, and made the move to invest in Costa Rica property. What many don't realize is that you can actually buy big oceaview Costa Rica properties for the price you'd pay for a fifth wheel back in Canada. And guess what? The value increases instead of decreases.

It appears that the Canadian buyers are only going to increase. Especially with the rise and recovery of the Canadian economy, more and more Canadian investors are considering Costa Rica for their investment dollars.

If you enjoyed this article and now maybe it has peaked your interest, then feel free to visit us on the web to find out more on how you can join the thousands of Canadians who have already invested wisely in Costa Rica property.
