Oct. 9, 2009 - PRLog -- Ever heard of one of the most effective body building techniques called the superset? Well, while weight lifting, a superset is doing 1 exercise right after another. That means performing one right after the other continually. Usually, it's utilized when we're dealing with separate muscle groups. An example of this would be the triceps and the biceps or hamstrings and the quads. Now, these six body building techniques are different versions of the superset which we outlined first.

One) Compound- The type of superset known as the compound is accomplished by two sets for the same muscles which are alike. A great example would be doing the calves- seated calf lifts followed by standing calf lifts.

Two) Isolation- This one is the combo of two isolation exercise followed 1 after another for the same group of muscles. As an example, do some sitting incline dumb-bell curls followed by concentration curls.

Three) Pre-Exhaustion- This one is accomplished by picking two exercises for the same muscle. A isolation movement like leg extensions, for example, could be the first exercise. Now, a hack squat leg press should be performed immediately after this exercise. What we have here is multi-joint movement which was followed by a single-joint movement.

I hope you're writing these down, I can't express to you how effective these body building techniques are!

Four) Post-Exhaustion- This is essentially the opposite of the third superset mentioned. Decide upon a multi-joint exercise then after that follow it up with a single-joint exercise. Do stiffleg dead-lifts and then laying leg curls, just as an example.

Five) Tri-Super Sets- What this is, is simply three separate movements performed right after the other. You might want to perform a compound set then follow that up with an isolation.

Six) Staggered- This is accomplished by performing a lower body exercise immediately followed up with another. This one is used to train the body parts which are lagging like the calves or delts as a few more sets could really be squeezed in.

Use these advanced body building techniques and I'm sure you'll be pleasantly surprised as to how effective they are!
