Michael Creagh Awarded 1st Runner-Up Prize in the 2009 Photography.Book.Now Competition

New York - Fashion photographer Michael Creagh was awarded the First Runner-Up prize in the Commercial Category for his book "Editorial Stories."   The second annual Photography.Book.Now competition featured more than 2,400 entries from 50 countries around the world.  Creagh's book was chosen as one of the finest self-published photography books entered into the competition by an esteemed panel of judges.

"Editorial Stories" is a collection of 17 fashion photography stories comprised from his creative catalog work with Susana Monaco, several magazine editorials, and his London art exhibition with Vault49.  On his award, Creagh said, “It’s amazing. You work so hard on your book.  It is nice to know others appreciate it.”  He continued, "I just want to thank all the judges for their consideration and to congratulate Dennis Kleiman (who's book won the category) and the Grand Prize winner Rafal Milach on their superb work."

Michael Creagh is a New York fashion photographer shooting editorial and commercial work.  Michael’s journey began while living a vagabond’s life in France and Italy:  just walking around taking pictures of everything he saw.  In London, he began shooting portraits, and in New York, fashion.  His photo series have appeared for MTV, Ecko, Microsoft, Samsung, Sony Music, Warner Bros Music, McDonalds, Disney, W, Elle, Hamptons, NY Post Page 6 Magazine, Bill Blass, Joseph Abboud, Cacharel, Susana Monaco, McCann Erickson, Leo Burnett, Ogilvy and Mather, Fashion Institute of Technology, and Vidal Sassoon.

His recent 10 page cover story and interview in The May 2009 edition of Digital PhotoPro Magazine could be found on nearly every magazine stand in America.
