This course was designed as a cost-effective way for contractors to train workers that are working with or removing asbestos. During this course, the student will learn the OSHA requirements that regulate the industry. This course introduces the student and professional in the following areas:
1. Where asbestos was used and could be found and where asbestos may be present as part of a demolishing / salvaging process.
2. The process of properly removing and encapsulating the asbestos or asbestos-containing materials (ACM)
3. The correct processes and protocols in altering, repairs, maintaining, or renovating asbestos-containing structures or substrates
4. Proper safety practices and cleaning up, transporting, disposing, storing, and containing asbestos.
The course provides 5.0 credits (CE) upon completion of this course and the course includes a post-exam. The student must take a multiple-choice quiz consisting of twenty-five (25) questions at the end of this course to obtain PDH credits. This course can be used by professional engineers to fulfill PDH requirements mandated by state and provincial licensing boards.
