Brand new football prediction game Predict Football has kicked off the new season by challenging the so called professional, the BBC's Match of the Day football pundit Mark Lawrenson.
Each week on the BBC sport website, Lawro, as he's known, writes a column predicting the final score of the weekend's Premier League football results.
Football fans in their thousands read the BBC sport site every week, absorbing Lawro's every word in anticipation of their clubs' match.
At the time of writing, Mark Lawrenson has only managed to correctly predict just 3 of the 36 Premier League football results, whereas 36 other competitors in the football prediction game have bettered the predictions of the so called professional.
The website ( http://www.PredictFootball.co.uk ) has a league of competitors with points earned for correct predictions, and correct outcomes of the games. The current leader of the game has already achieved 7 correct football predictions, more then double that of Mark Lawrenson.
Organiser of the new website Predict Football had the idea of adding in Lawro's predictions each week to see how the players faired against the Match of the Day presenter, assuming the ex Liverpool star would beat the common fan on the street.
However, it hasn't turned out that way in the first 4 rounds of Premier League football.
Although there have been some shock results in the football matches, the rules and scoring of the game are the same for everyone, and Lawro needs to get his season on track if he is to prove that he is the master of this football prediction game.
