BridgeWays Extends Cross-Platform Opportunities to the Microsoft System Center Partner Channel

New Xandros BridgeWays ISV’s and SI’s expand prospects and revenues with single-console administration of business critical applications on Windows, Linux, and Unix

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PRLog (Press Release)Sep 01, 2009 – BridgeWays, a division of Xandros, today launched a new Global Partner Program to bring cross-platform business opportunities to Microsoft System Center solution providers. The new program enables BridgeWays partners to extend single console management of business critical applications to thousands of current System Center customers that also deploy non-Microsoft virtualization, database, application, web, and communication servers on Windows, Linux, and Unix.

“The new BridgeWays Partner Program is a compelling proposition for both partners and their customers. Utilizing the new cross-platform capabilities of System Center Operations Manager 2007 R2, BridgeWays helps to reduce the confusing multiplicity of management systems found in the typical data center, and significantly reduce administrative costs,” said Andreas Typaldos, CEO of Xandros. “For our partners, BridgeWays opens the door to an untapped market for cross-platform administration, with an extensive, established base of System Center customers.”

The BridgeWays management packs, developed under the broad technology and business collaboration agreement between Microsoft and Xandros, extend System Center Operations Manager 2007 R2 capabilities to the management of VMware ESX/ESXi, Oracle Database, MySQL Database, and JBoss Application Server running on Red Hat Enterprise Server, SUSE Linux Enterprise Server, Solaris, and Windows. BridgeWays also enables the management of Apache web servers on Red Hat, SUSE and Solaris. The BridgeWays deep metrics and extensive knowledge base deliver in-depth data correlation, performance, and health management capabilities that streamline administration and reduce customer IT costs, while generating ongoing cross platform revenues for BridgeWays partners.

More prospects for worldwide partners

The new BridgeWays partner program is global in scope, and includes existing BridgeWays partners in North America, Latin America, Europe, Middle East-Africa and Asia Pacific. BridgeWays extends Microsoft SI or ISV partner reach by delivering more IT monitoring capabilities and service engagements. BridgeWays partners can now address cross platform virtualization, database, application, communication, and Web server management on Windows, Unix and Linux.
