Strand today announced the appointment of François Mandeville as Executive Vice President - Marketing, Technology and Strategy. In this role, François will be responsible for setting Strand’s strategic agenda and priorities and for managing Technology and Marketing activities for the company. François will also manage Strand’s US and international operations.

François is passionate about software businesses that transform technologies into solutions. François joined Hewlett-Packard in Canada at the age of 17 in a position especially created to allow him to work in HP’s then new PC and LaserJet businesses while studying electrical engineering at Montréal’s Ecole Polytechnique. During François’ 25 year journey at HP and Agilent, he and his teams pioneered new software enabled solutions in HP’s computer, printer and medical businesses in Agilent’s telecommunications testing, chemical analysis and life sciences businesses. François, who is based in the San Francisco Bay Area, worked in Australia, Canada, Europe and Asia and drove the launch of several software businesses, acquisitions and partnerships that are at the core of Agilent’s leadership in life sciences.
