Azlan strengthens UC intent, signs exclusive European channel distribution agreement with SectorSix

Azlan, Europe’s leading distributor of enterprise networking, server, storage and enterprise software solutions announced today that it has signed a pan European distribution contract with Sector Six.
 
Aug. 13, 2009 - PRLog -- Munich, Germany – July 21st, 2009 – Azlan, Europe’s leading distributor of enterprise networking, server, storage and enterprise software solutions announced today that it has signed a pan European distribution contract with Sector Six, a leading software solutions provider of Cisco based IP communications software.

SectorSix enables service providers and enterprises of all sizes to optimise their investment made in IP communications via a suite of software solutions that integrate seamlessly with the Cisco Call Manager and Unified Communications Manager platforms.  Under this exclusive European channel agreement, Azlan will make the complete suite of SectorSix products available to Cisco VARs across Europe.

At Cisco’s recent Partner Summit, TD Azlan was recognised as Cisco Distributor of the Year in no fewer than 10 European countries, also walking away with the “Global Distributor of the Year” accolade, in part due to a commitment to support and educate resellers in solution selling of technologies such as unified communications.

Commented on this agreement, Sean Kendrick, Marketing Director at Azlan Europe states:  “Technologies such as unified communication offer businesses with real cost and flexibility advantages and growth in this area remains intact, as businesses work to improve their productivity today and get ready for the turnaround as the economy picks up again.  As such, broadening our vendor portfolio to include leading UC application solutions, such as those offered by SectorSix, provides our resellers with additional opportunities.”

Kendrick expects the adoption of Unified Communications and application solutions to remain positive as VARs continue to help customers employ technology as a means of improving productivity and driving down costs.

SectorSix’s Sixserver offers Cisco Unified Call Manager customers the ability to expand the operational feature set of their existing solution and is available exclusively through the Azlan channel in Europe. Sixserver introduces key functionality such as call recording capability, voicemail and virtual conferencing. It also provides improved GUI-based multi-level administration, simplified moves/adds/changes (MAC) capabilities, enhanced reporting and call statistics, an XML applications platform, and department accounting capabilities.

Sixserver will be offered exclusively to the EMEA reseller market through the Azlan channel from July 2009. End-user list pricing starts from $5995 USD for a 50-user system.


SectorSix’s VoIPTrainer is a unique training delivery platform for Cisco IP telephony.  Users can access training modules for the complete range of Cisco IP handsets, through either a PC or via the display on the handset itself. It provides a cost-effective solution to resellers and enterprises looking to train users remotely on Cisco IP telephony. VoIP Trainer can be used to either supplement or replace location-based training, providing an easy-to-use and intuitive learning system that will enable users to learn at their own pace. Users can access to the system throughout the period of the software licence. List pricing for VoIPTrainer starts from $1495 for a 50-user system.

Kendrick suggests that the provision of training is a critical success factor for resellers looking to influence UC adoption, “For VARs to accelerate their success in the UC space and enable customers to get the best return from their UC solution, training is a must. Leveraging products such as SectorSix’s VoIP Trainer to educate employees make a lot of sense”.

Azlan makes no secret about its intention to hold the number–one distributor position in UC and has been investing in technology and commercial training initiatives designed to support resellers and enable them to access UC opportunities, whether in small businesses or large service providers.  Last year the company expanded its Cisco focused “Advance with Azlan” program by introducing Go!Voice, a program designed specifically to assist resellers in accelerating their growth in mid market and enterprise tailored UC solutions.
