Massachusetts Afterschool Math Enrichment and Tutoring Program Awarded "2009 Best of Newton"

Aug. 7, 2009 - PRLog -- WASHINGTON D.C. , June 8, 2009 -- Russian School of Mathematics (RSM) was awarded 2009 Best of Newton by the U.S. Commerce Association (USCA). RSM was chosen from among scores of other academic and tutoring programs located in the Newton area. For over 12 years, RSM has been consistently offering the highest quality of math education (as reported by ever growing numbers of satisfied students and their parents). Being one of many academic and tutoring services specializing in math in the Boston Area, RSM has earned the top reputation for helping students of any level to excel in mathematics.

Russian School of Mathematics (RSM) is an after school math program for children in grades K-12. For over 12 years since its inception, RSM has been providing a world-class math education with an outstanding commitment to the success of every student. Being one of the few afterschool programs specializing solely in mathematics, and equipped with a solid K-12 math curriculum focused on critical thinking, logic and problem solving, RSM has been providing not just math enrichment, but a complete fundamental math education.
RSM's curriculum includes Math for Grades K-12 (with several levels of challenge for each grade), Pre-Algebra, Algebra-1, Algebra-2, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, Calculus, Test Preparation for the ISEE, SAT-I, SAT-II, ACT and AP, as well as opportunities to prepare for and participate in American Math Competitions and olympiads.
RSM offers academic year and summer programs in spacious modern facilities in a quiet part of Newton bordering Needham. Being conveniently located near Rt.95/128, RSM serves many Greater Boston communities including Newton, Needham, Wellesley, Westwood, Norwood, Weston, and Lexington, as well as the Boston MetroWest region. RSM's newest branch serves Marblehead, Swampscott, Lynn and other North Shore communities. Some of RSM's students travel for weekly classes from as far as Rhode Island and New Hampshire.
Every year RSM students win recognition from the Johns Hopkins University Center for Talented Youth (CTY) and receive Awards for their high scores in national math competitions (AMC-8, 10, 12) and other math competitions.
RSM's average SAT is 774/800 (nation's average is 518).
