July 29, 2009 - PRLog -- Last year, the Nikon D60 was released in the market. It was one of the dSLRs introduced in the market and is priced closely to the high end compact cameras. Some reviews say that for a digital camera, the Nikon D60 is quite expensive but if you’re looking for a camera that offers sharpness and excellent color in the produced photos, the Nikon D60 lens is among the best in the market.

The camera can be sold without the compatible lens but some stores also offer a camera package which includes compatible lenses. The standard lens for the Nikon D60 is the 3.5 to 5.6G VR or the AF-S DX NIKKOR 18 to 55mm. The camera is best used with the AF-S lenses to make use of the autofocus feature. By using older lenses, you will need to focus by hand and guess the exposure. The camera is already equipped with new lenses upon purchase so getting a lens is not a big concern.

The functions of the camera can be used to the fullest if you opt for the newest AF-I NKKOR or the AF-S. The traditional AF-I AF or the non-AF-S cannot use the autofocus feature but you can still enjoy perfect exposure. You can also make use of the D AF NIKKOR or the non-type G but it doesn’t support the autofocus and matrix metering II. Shooting modes are not supported by the type D PC NIKKOR but other functions can still be used. The AI-P NIKKOR does not support the matrix metering II but other functions can be used. It’s not a good idea to use manual focus lens and the AF-NIKKOR or the IX-NIKKOR.

Because of the VR (Vibration Reduction) and the autofocus feature of the Nikon D60, the pictures are blur-free and sharper. For some time now, the Nikon lenses are quite famous for realistic color and spectacular sharpness. When cameras are handheld, shaking can be a problem.  But this problem can be minimized through the built in image stabilization technology utilized by Nikon D60.
