Community Workforce Solutions Awarded Workforce Development Grant

July 29, 2009 - PRLog -- Raleigh, NC – Community Workforce Solutions, Inc. (www.communityworkforcesolutions.com) announced today that they have been awarded an Incumbent Workforce Development Grant from the North Carolina Department of Commerce, Division of Workforce Development.  The $22,150 grant will be overseen by the Capital Area Workforce Development Board.

The grant will allow the agency to acquire ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 13485 Quality Management Systems training and become eligible to become an ISO-certified agency, expanding opportunities to partner with manufacturers which require ISO certification.  ISO 13485 registration will allow the organization to provide production and outsourcing services to the medical device industry, including kitting, packaging, assembly, mail, distribution and other fulfillment services.

Community Workforce Solutions will collaborate with Forward Motion Associates to provide fourteen full days of training over the course of six to eight months. Upon completion of this training, the agency will be prepared to meet ISO eligibility requirements and complete the registration process.
