Columbus Indiana’s second annual Sustainable Living Fair will be Saturday, September 26, 2009 from 9am – 4pm at Mill Race Park.
The purpose of the Sustainable Living Fair is to communicate the importance of “living green” and living sustainably by saving money and natural resources now and for future generations. Vendors presenting their sustainable products and concepts, earth-friendly products, local products and produce, personal wellness, recycling ideas and information, and sustainable transportation will be participating to help educate the citizens of Columbus and the rest of south central Indiana on how to make their lives more sustainable. Childrens activities will occur throughout the day.
We will also have workshops, speakers, and musicians throughout the day. Speakers include Any Mahler (Heartwood), Keith Johnson (Permaculture Activist Magazine), Rhonda Baird (Indiana Forest Alliance), Liz and Michael Greven (EcoSource Inc), and a speaker from Warren Ward Associates. Bobbie Lancaster will be performing. Please watch our website for an updated schedule of speakers and musicians.
