Worldwide spiritual head of Chinmaya Mission, His Holiness Swami Tejomayananda gives a series of lectures on the “Yoga of Meditation”

San Diego, CA—Chinmaya Mission San Diego hosts a week-long lecture series on the “Yoga of Meditation”, June 29-July 3, 2009, from 7pm – 8:30pm at the Jewish Community Center in La Jolla.  Learned scholar and spiritual head of Chinmaya Mission, H.H. Swami Tejomayananda will give the discourses, expounding on essential teachings from the Bhagavad Gita.  The lectures are free and open to all.

Meditation as a topic is particularly relevant during these troubled times.  The true meaning and methods of the yoga of meditation as revealed by the ancient Indian wisdom of Vedanta will be explained by a master teacher and scholar.

About His Holiness Swami Tejomayananda
H.H. Swami Tejomayananda, one of the foremost disciples of H.H. Swami Chinmayanada, is the spiritual head of Chinmaya Missions worldwide.  He has served as the Dean of the Sandeepany Institutes of Vedantic  Studies at Sidhabari, Himachal Pradesh, Mumbai and San Jose.  He has authored many books including, Hindu Culture, a text adopted in many American High Schools. Swami Tejomayananda was  awarded the prestigious Hindu of the Year Award in 2005 in recognition of his remarkable dedication and service.
