A "Must Have" for Teen Overnight Camp

May 31, 2009 - PRLog -- From our own experiences as moms with daughters, we decided to address the anxiety and embarrassment that girls feel when they get their period away from home.  We also wanted to address the ecological challenges of feminine product usage and educate a new generation to be conscious of the environment.

We created tomKIT (time of month), a stylish, compact  "emergency girl pack" with biodegradable and natural products....even a spare pair of undies. It's compact, discrete, and easily fits in backpacks or duffels.

Our kits have been used at summer institutes sponsored by the Girl Scouts of America and we have been featured on such diverse sites as Cool Mom Picks, Gorgeously Green, and Alternate Consumer. We have also been favorably reviewed by Teens for Safe Cosmetics.

The recent publication of first period stories in My Little Red Book by Rachel Kauder Nalebuff is a constant reminder of the fact that periods are a part of us; they are not going anywhere; and anything that will add to the comfort zone during that time is welcome.
