Asbury Park, NJ – ASBURY MEDIA is proud to announce the forthcoming residency of audio mastering engineer Richard Morris.
With 25 years of experience as a guitar player and mandolinist, Richard approaches each mastering project empathetically as only a musician can. He also possesses a deep knowledge of the history of recorded music, from pop, rock, country and jazz to instrumental, classical and traditional world music. After countless hours spent listening, woodshedding, and engineering Richard knows how great music - and great recordings – are made.
Richard spent five years at Sterling Sound, honing his mastering capabilities under the guidance of Greg Calbi, one of the most respected and sought-after engineers in the field. With Greg, he had a hand in mastering albums by Iron and Wine, Norah Jones, Son Volt, Laura Cantrell, The Hold Steady, Dinosaur Jr., Bad Brains, Branford Marsalis, and many more.
Most recently Richard worked with the esteemed mastering engineer, Scott Hull, at Masterdisk. At Masterdisk, Richard mastered albums by critically acclaimed artists such as The Felice Brothers, The Wiyos, and The Kooks.
