Community Care College Integrates “Moodle” as Classroom Management Tool

May 26, 2009 - PRLog -- Community Care College and its non-main campuses (Clary Sage College and Oklahoma Technical College) have begun integrating Moodle into the classroom. Moodle is an online classroom management system that gives on-ground students access to the same supplemental material that online students currently enjoy. Each classroom has a site within the system where students and instructors can go to communicate outside of classroom hours. Students can post to discussion boards and pull additional study materials (outlines, video, links, games, lectures, etc.) Students can also access records of their grades and attendance through the site.

Katherine Combs, also the Learning Resource Center Director, is the project manager for the Moodle integration. “This system keeps students and instructors connected, so that if a student struggling with the material and the instructor is unavailable, he or she can connect with other students and/or additional resources from home.” It is expected that all classrooms at Community Care College will have begun fully optimizing this software by the end of the year.

Community Care College is a licensed and accredited institution offering programs in Healthcare and Business disciplines. Community Care College serves as the main campus to Clary Sage College and Oklahoma Technical College which all operate under the same ownership.
