Free Luncheon Gives Facts about Infertility

More than seven million women under the age of 44 are unable to have children due to infertility, according to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention. However, most women are unaware of why infertility occurs and what questions they need to be asking their doctors.  

This is why Cincy Chic (www.cincychic.com), the only online lifestyle publication for women in Greater Cincinnati, is hosting a free luncheon to explain what every women needs to know about infertility.  This informational event will feature Dr. Sherif Awadalla and Dr. Michael Scheiber, co-directors for the In Vitro Fertilization Program at the Institute for Reproductive Health, who both have been part of the Cincinnati community for over 20 years. The luncheon will address the facts about infertility, when women should start to be concerned about their ability to conceive and questions to ask their gynecologists.

“Infertility is so prevalent that no matter your age, race or status in life, you know someone who is struggling with infertility,” says Cindi Lorenz, marketing director for the Institute for Reproductive Health. “The doctors will be addressing the major role age plays in having a baby and the four main causes of infertility.  This luncheon will allow attendees access to a wide range of fertility information from a source they can absolutely trust.”

Attendees will enjoy complimentary lunch from Panera Bread as they learn the facts about infertility. This luncheon will be held Thursday, April 29, 2009, from 12-1p.m. at the Havana Martini Club, downtown on 5th St. between Race and Vine streets.
