Aquatic Figure Questioned In Shooting Case

Authorities say the connection between Dr. Tentikle and the recovered weapon is unclear, but he remains a person of interest in the investigation of the death of a local engineer

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PRLog (Press Release) - Mar 21, 2009 -
(East Windsor, NJ) -- The 18-month investigation into the murder of Robert Sturgeon appeared to be revitalized Friday evening when local police recovered a firearm believed to be involved in the shooting death of Robert Sturgeon.  Mr. Sturgeon was previously assumed to be the victim of a random armed robbery until forensic evidence revealed that he may have been acquainted with the assailant.    Police say that the location where the weapon was recovered confirmed that the assault may have been premeditated.  Dr. Lus Tentikle was interviewed late Friday evening by detectives after authorities learned of a prior altercation between Dr. Tentikle and Mr. Sturgeon.

Prosecutors now believe that Mr. Sturgeon, a fish employed by a firm that specializes in the design of marine equipment, may have been the victim of a hate crime.  Dr. Tentikle, a squid, has been connected with radical marine life organizations implicated in the shooting.

Sources believe that Dr. Tentikle may have targeted Sturgeon due to his involvement in the design of outboard motors for boats.  Dick Fertapewit, an expert on fringe marine life groups, stated that "Many of these fishies resent invertebrate marine organisms who try to gain favor with humans.  As far as involvement in the design of potentially lethal propellers are concerned, they consider these acts to be high treason. "

Dr. Tentikle was not available for comment.
