Jim Ellis Acquires Buick-pontiac-gmc Franchise

March 9, 2009 - PRLog -- Jim Ellis, President of Jim Ellis Automotive, announced today that his Georgia dealership group has acquired the Buick-Pontiac-GMC franchise in Atlanta. Ellis acquired the assets of the previous BPG dealer, which was located only a few hundred yards from the Jim Ellis Automotive complex on Peachtree Industrial Boulevard in Atlanta.  The Jim Ellis Buick-Pontiac-GMC sales showroom opens March 3 at 5855 Peachtree Industrial and the service department is already integrated with the current Jim Ellis Chevrolet service department at 5785 Peachtree Industrial.

Jim Ellis opened his first dealership in 1971 and since then his company has grown to eleven dealerships in Georgia including the new Jim Ellis Buick-Pontiac-GMC store.  Jim Ellis Automotive is family owned and operated with Jim Ellis at the helm, son Jimmy Ellis VP and COO, and several other family members in leadership positions. Brands represented at the Ellis’ Atlanta and Marietta locations include Audi, Volkswagen, Porsche, Mazda, Hyundai, Saab, Chevrolet and now – Buick, Pontiac, GMC - along with a central Collision Center in Atlanta.
