Passion, persistence, and perseverance are all ingredients that he poured into his new label RichSoulKidd Entertainment and new street album “The RnB General” hosted by D.Blake. J-Shin’s infatuation with music goes back to childhood beginnings in Miami, Florida. Early in his music career, determination drove J-shin to independently sell tapes out of the trunk of his car and sing whenever and wherever until his voice permeated the streets. His voice resonated in the ears of his homeboy, Slip and Slide Records artist - Trick Daddy. J-Shin guest featured on Trick Daddy’s hit single “Hold On” from the album “www.thug.com”
, which paved the way for his music career. Slip N Slide Records took notice and made a deal with J-Shin in 1998. In 1999, this union gave birth to the hit single “One Night Stand” featuring Latosha Scott of Xscape. Additionally, this led to Slip N Slide Records and Atlantic Records teaming up to produce J-Shin’s first album “My Soul, My Life”. The single and the album generated sales of over 1 million copies. After 4 years under the umbrella of Slip N Slide Records, J-Shin started to hone in on the business side of the music industry. His devotion to writing and recording music became even more eminent. J-Shin decided to form an alliance with independent label SouthBeat Records in January 2005. J-Shin’s relentless efforts paid off with the sophomore album, “All I Got Is Love”. Working with artists and producers like Jim Jonsin, T-Pain, Static Major (R.I.P), Doe Phat of Bad Boy Entertainment led to heavy hitters off the album such as “If I Fall in Love” and “Send Me an E-mail”. With over 10 years in the game, each phase of J-Shin’s career has placed him one step closer to forming his own venture- RichSoulKidd Entertainment.
