Vinny Faiella, Owner of Red Bank Surplus, in Monmouth County, New Jersey, has had inquiries from throughout the United States, as well as internationally, about his stock of Seafarer Navy bell-bottom dungarees. The US Navy used Seafarer bell-bottom dungarees for most of the 20th Century, however, they became obsolete on January 1, 2000. Mr. Faiella managed to purchase a large quantity of the bell-bottom dungarees when the U.S. Navy decided to change their working uniform. This was enabled by his longstanding relationship with Seagoing Uniforms, manufacturers of Seafarer Bell-bottom Dungarees.
Mr. Faiella has been in Red Bank since September of 2006. His grandfather, Natale, opened Reliable Naval Tailoring Company, in Brooklyn, NY on September 26, 1927. The original store was located on Sands Street, which was the main street accessing the Brooklyn Naval Yard. Ironically, Seagoing Uniforms was also located on Sands Street, having opened in 1898.
Seafarer Us Navy Bell-bottom Dungarees start at $29.95. For more information, click on the link below:
