JOBS: The hotel opening has added a solid base for much needed jobs in the Sarasota/Bradenton Area. The hotel has hired and is still hiring front desk staff, maintenance staff and housekeeping personnel. In addition local food vendors, landscapers, pool suppliers and other contractors will be hired to provide ongoing service to the hotel. The meeting space at the hotel will give local caterers the opportunity to provide food to meetings and banquets at the hotel as well. As the hotel gains traction there will be over twenty-five full and part time positions in addition to the outside services needed. Management will be provided by Sarasota based Charter One Hotels & Resorts Inc. which has been a community business partner for over twenty-seven years. Charter One continues to provides jobs in the area and most recently added two additional project managers to assist additional hotels during these trying economic times.
