Harr Toyota Worcester and Harr Chrysler Jeep Dodge Worcester have turned to social media to connect with today’s consumers.

Jan. 27, 2009 - PRLog -- Worcester, MA. - Harr Toyota Worcester and Harr Chrysler Jeep Dodge Worcester have turned to social media to connect with today’s consumers. The opportunities and potential for a car dealer using social media marketing is endless, and Harr Auto Group Worcester’s General Manager Mike Gross is already seeing positive results from his new social media campaign.

   “With the use of new technologies at an all-time high, it is extremely important as a car dealer to connect with consumers at a one on one level. Harr understands the days of running full page ads and doing television campaigns are diminishing with the constant influx of social media, and we’re ready to embrace this cultural shift.”

Harr is already seeing the benefits from their newly implemented campaign. On more than one occasion, Gross has been contacted through Harr Auto’s Facebook Page (http://www.facebook.com/pages/Harr-Auto-Group/57072911109) with questions about buying vehicles. The page has given Gross and the Harr employees an excellent haven for interacting with directly with people in a comfortable, informal environment. In addition to the Facebook page, Harr is also quickly adding followers to their Twitter account (http://www.twitter.com/harrauto), and engaging in constant communication and “tweeting” with hundreds of potential customers.

Along with Harr’s Facebook page and Twitter account, the Harr Auto Group of Worcester has connected with consumers through their exclusive “talk to the owner” feature on their website. This will allow anyone who visits Harr’s parent or specific dealer sites to inquire about any vehicle. The inquiry will go directly to Harr Toyota, Chrysler Jeep Dodge of Worcester’s owner, Charles Ribakoff, who then will respond directly to the customer.

Gross, recently named General Manager of Harr Toyota Worcester, who is already General Manager of Harr Chrysler Jeep Dodge Worcester, is excited about the group’s new horizons.
   
   “Social Media is the new buzz, and I do not see it going away. We need to continue to evolve and be excited about the opportunities that social media can allow Harr to benefit from.”

The Harr Auto Group’s social media campaign will be headed by Potratz Partners Advertising, a Schenectady-based ad agency that specializes in the use of Social Media Marketing. Following the social media contract that was awarded to Potratz, COO Paul Potratz and staff visited Harr for the first of a series in Social Media workshops for Harr’s staff. With the campaign now full-steam ahead, Harr of Worcester is looking forward to fully engaging itself as Massachusetts’ premiere social media dealership.
