Gardening Nude is a common sense guide as well as a motivational self-help book written by author Shawna Lee Coronado; a writer who is passionate about greening and healthy-living. Coronado’s mission is to inspire the world to get healthier, happier, and greener.
In explaining her book title, Coronado says, “The term, ‘gardening nude,’ is a metaphoric expression which means to strip away the negative excuses and feelings, get off your fanny, and get out into nature to improve your health and lifestyle. It is all about living life happy and to the fullest.
“My goal,” Coronado says, “is to touch as many lives as I can in a positive way – showing people that they can make a difference in their communities and for themselves by practicing a green, healthy, and less-stressed lifestyle.”
For more than ten years, Coronado lived with severe stress and acute health issues. Coronado’s constant pain, allergies, and asthma led her to take more than a dozen prescriptions per day. Miserable, ill, and desperate, Coronado took on the medical establishment and built the Get Your Green On Healthy Philosophy in hopes of finding a way to improve her own mental and physical health. The more she practiced her green philosophy, the more apparent it became that her plan is a miracle cure for an unhealthy lifestyle. Coronado now takes only three medications per day and feels better than she ever has.
Gardening Nude features the Get Your Green On Healthy Philosophy, a three-part system which includes a Health Plan, Greening and Conservation Guide, and Building A Green Community Plan. This philosophy shows that becoming mentally and physically healthier is a snap when you are living a green lifestyle. Gardening Nude teaches readers how the combination of reduced stress, green living, and building relationships can create a positive mental attitude at work, at home, and in life.
