Realtors Get 6-hours of Continuing Education at a Weekend Real Estate Conference in Metro Detroit

Dec. 28, 2008 - PRLog -- Troy, MI – The economy is looking grim; Michigan housing has declined 25% in one year, the stock market has fallen even faster than the price of houses.  The fear generated by the housing meltdown has become a fear of world wild financial meltdown.  We have to learn how to make money in this tough market; how to run our businesses and stop the fear.  

During a 3-day conference in February, a panel of experts will discuss how to make money in today’s market while addressing current problems in real estate and business.  Realtors can kill two birds with one stone as they attend this event and satisfy their 6-hour continuing education requirements.

Mike Watson will discuss short sales, REO’s and Seller Financing in our current market.  He will be the first speaker on Friday, from 9am to 4pm, discussing one of the most prevalent real estate issues in today’s market.  Economic conditions in America relating to short sales and REO’s have hit record levels of importance.  Property values have declined; working with these types of properties will give licensees the opportunity to help clients while ridding the community of vacant and distressed properties.  

As we face the toughest time in the history of real estate for obtaining traditional financing, sales are not being consummated; lending opportunities are not readily available.  Mike will present strategies of seller financing to assist buyers and sellers to close transactions.  He will discuss how to work with banks to get assumption clauses added to mortgages and “due on sale” clauses removed from mortgages while getting seller financing directly from the banks themselves.
