SPEC Announces Department of Defense RFID III Contract Award

PR Log (Press Release) – Dec 23, 2008 – As an awardee, SPEC and its RFID III Team Members; BearingPoint, Honeywell, and IDENTEC SOLUTIONS, Inc., will be invited to supply the wide variety of RFID equipment, engineering services and “turn-key” solutions for the DoD, the Federal Government and U.S. allies.

About the contract:  RFID-III contracts will provide interoperable ISO/IEC 18000-7:2008 compliant active RFID hardware, software, documentation, and, services to authorized users worldwide. Services include training, warranty and maintenance services, and technical engineering services (TES). The contract has a base period of three years with two option years for the ordering of hardware, software, documentation, consumables and TES.  There are options for five additional years for ordering maintenance on the contract.
