JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - ForeverSMS is a new website that allows anyone to send text messages for free to any mobile phone in the US. The service is fast, easy to use, does not require a mobile phone, and does not require users to sign up for accounts. A user only needs a web browser and an email address to use the service.
ForeverSMS is just as convenient as other free text messaging services such as Gizmo and txtDrop. In addition to being able to send text messages from the website, ForeverSMS also has an iGoogle gadget that allows sending text messages right from a customized iGoogle homepage. Sending text messages with the iGoogle gadget is quick and convenient, as it does not require loading a new page or pop-up windows.
ForeverSMS will detect the recipient's wireless provider, so users do not need to specify the carrier. The following providers are currently supported by ForeverSMS: Alltel, AT&T, Cellular One, Cricket, MetroPCS, Nextel, Sprint PCS, T-Mobile, US Cellular, and Verizon Wireless.
